A modern Thai restaurant in central Patong

Took Took Prime is a contemporary Thai dining room in the heart of Patong. Wok-fired classics, fresh seafood, halal-friendly cooking, and crafted cocktails — open every night until midnight.

Patong has plenty of Thai restaurants — most cooking for crowds, none cooking quite the way we do. Took Took Prime is built around the recipes our chefs grew up with, scaled for a dining room: curry pastes pounded in-house, fish sauce we trust, wok heat high enough to char without drying the protein.

The food sits a step above casual neighbourhood Thai. Australian Angus instead of the standard local beef on grill plates. Phuket seafood from the Andaman coast — whole seabass, tiger prawns, mussels — handled the same morning. Fusion signatures like the Khao Soi Quesadilla and the Picanha Beef Fried Rice are unique to the kitchen.

The room is design-led without being precious. Banana-leaf banquettes, warm pendant light, indoor + outdoor seating. Couples, families and groups all fit. Halal-friendly cooking is built in from the supplier list outward, so no one at the table has to compromise. We open at 11:00 AM and run until midnight, including weekends.

Yes — our kitchen is halal-friendly. Every meat is sourced from a certified halal supplier, and we don't use pork in any dish. The menu is built around that, so families and travellers from any background can share a Thai table.

What does a typical dinner cost?

Most main dishes are between 190฿ and 490฿. Whole-fish and crab plates run higher (around 590฿), and a sharing seafood bucket is 990฿. A 5% service charge applies, as is standard in Thailand.

How far is the restaurant from Patong Beach and Bangla Road?

About five minutes by car or tuk-tuk from Patong Beach, and seven from Bangla Road. We're on 179 Phuket Hwy 4055, set just back from the main strip.
